Sunday's Little Blessing - A Paper and a Poem

Hello Friends,

This week I have something a little different for you: a Christmas paper I made and a poem I wrote. I hope you like them.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment. It really blesses me to know that you like my little gifts.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

My original paper (scanned)
My paper altered as a bordered page
My altered paper with my poem added

You probably can't read it until you print it out, so here is what the poem says:

PATIENCE
Teresa Arsenault ©2015

I am Patience, an angel of the God Most High
I rejoiced when he sang life into being
When creation fell I cried
I thought he would breathe life into the dead
With tears flowing, “Patience” was all that he said.

He gave me a song to sing to the hearts of men
Most were so hardened they could not hear
And very few listened back then
One was a shepherd who sang my songs in essence
He gloried for hours in the Most Holy Presence.

The shepherd became king; he ruled and then died
A tender seedling was promised from his root
But generation after generation were denied
Until a great light that burst forth in the sky
Was met one night by a wee baby’s cry.

“Joyful,” the Holy One in exuberance proclaimed,
“It is time,” he said, his eyes twinkling at me
And I knew I had heard my new name
I looked down on a field full of shepherds in fear
Do not be afraid. I bring you good cheer.

For in the city of David, that loved shepherd boy
A miracle is given to bring hope to mankind
The birth of a king which will fill you with joy
Immanuel, Prince of Peace, God is with us
But you will know his name simply as Jesus.
