FOCUS

Hello Friends,

I am subscribed to Journal 52 and this week's (43) prompt is FOCUS.

I started by writing the word on my page in extra big letters on Saturday. Since I have been taking a Tangle-Doodle class locally, I knew I wanted to do some kind of doodling, either around or inside the letters. Yesterday (Sunday) I packed up my journal and pens and took them to church. I often take simple art supplies with me, but don't always use them.

The worship band started with "Majesty" and I was on my feet, my arms lifted high. I kept picturing an enormous crown in my wide-spread hands. By the next song I was sketching it into my page, resting on the word FOCUS. Another song - "Holy, holy, holy" and I was singing my heart out. More songs came, focusing on the glory and majesty of our almighty, holy God. I repeated the word HOLY on the base of the crown.

This evening I played some worship tunes on my computer and started doodling, worshiping as I did so. I listened to some inspirational messages and doodled some more. I shaded the letters, crown and doodles and finished off with a background made with a blue Gelato.

Thanks for stopping by. I am so glad you did. Did you know that God is always thinking about you? You are the very reason he came in the flesh, died a cruel death and then was resurrected again. And here is what he thinks about you:

You are beautiful and you are loved. So very, very loved.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Sunday's Art Reflection - Come In

Hello Friends,

I missed post an art reflection last Sunday and I do apologize for that. This and the next one are scheduled.

Today's art page was done in August of 2008 on a separate sheet of paper, which I glued into my old (first) art journal. The background is chalk pastels and the drawing was done with Prisma pencils and a small amount of white acrylic paint. The title is "Come In" and the dove represents the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for taking a look. I appreciate your visit and hope you will come back again soon. Don't forget to pick up your free image in my other post today.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Sunday's Little Blessing - Furtive Fox

Strong Tower

Hello Friends,

During a recent meditation on Psalm 61 and 62, I did a water colour painting in my bible. Since I live on an Island, lighthouses are a normal part of my landscape so that is what I painted.

The chapters talk about God being "a strong tower", "fortress" and "refuge". I know I can run to him and find shelter in troubled times. Not only that, he lifts me up to see difficulties from his divine perspective and I can trust him to guide me safely through the storm.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope I have inspired you. Most of all, I hope that you will know and experience this message from God today:

You are beautiful and you are loved.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Free Coloring Page - Lucas

Hello Friends,

I am back with another dragon coloring page. This one is called Lukas and he was inspired by a boy at my church who regularly receives visions from God. He is also a fiery worshiper with flags and drums. While Lizzie wears bright red lipstick and sneakers, Lukas has got his army boots on.
I split up the different elements of this page so you can use them separately if you like.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. If you like my images will you consider saying thank you for becoming a follower. It does my heart good to see your smiling faces in my subscriber bar.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Here is a card I made with Lukas last year.

Sunday's Little Blessing - Full Tummy

Hi Friends,

I felt so bad about not having a new image for you today that I completed the one I was working on earlier in the week. This little guy was inspired by some baby squirrels a friend rescued. She posted a picture of them resting with their newly filled tummies. One little guy looked so content, with his big round belly, that I had to draw him.

Teresa

Sunday's Art Reflection - On His Wings of Love

Hello Friends,

I have a 2009 painting to share with you today. It was my interpretation of Deuteronomy 32:11, one of my favourite scriptures.

"Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions."

Thanks for dropping in. I hope you have a wonderful day and I would like to leave you with this message from your Creator.

You are beautiful and you are loved.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Sunday's Little Blessing - Three for You

Hello Friends,

Today's image is the face of a lion. I hope you will find use for it in your faith art or other art. Please let me know if you do as I would love to see this fellow all coloured up and included in one of your own wonderful designs.

Since this blog is new, I am going to offer you two more images that I gave previously on my other blog - Tickell Expressions. There is a girl version and a boy version. You might notice that my butterflies are wearing army helmets. I would love to see how you use them in your faith art.

Boy Butterfly
Thanks for dropping by. I hope my images have blessed you a little today. Mostly I hope you will be blessed by this message that God has planted in my heart for you:

You are beautiful and you are loved.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Sunday's Art Reflection - In The Garden

Hello Friends,

It's time for another art reflection - a look back on some of my early art. I used Prisma colour sticks for this one. I drew it at our family camp ground (August 2008) while relatives sat around the table playing cards. I don't care for that activity, but I do like being with my family.

I call this one, "In the Garden" and I imagined Jesus ready to greet me on the other side of the wisteria laden arbour.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I wish you well and that you would know you are beautiful and loved by God.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Atlantic Awakening

Hello Friends,

This past August we had an Atlantic Awakening conference at our church with Randy Clark and Doug Schneider. It was a wondrous event and many hearts were set afire with renewed passion for our Lord Jesus Christ. The times of worship were especially sweet. During one session I completed a page of my latest recycled box-board art journal.

In case you don't know what box-board is, take a look in your pantry because you probably have plenty - cereal boxes, cracker boxes; the list goes on. Here is the background I used for my page. It is pretty much what it looks like - a mess of paint. I had started some other art on this page and didn't like it. This was my attempt to cover it up.
I used a Praise Him mask (available at the HKC Store) and some white Gesso on my finger around the mask. It is so much fun to finger paint to worship music.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you have been picking up my free images on Sundays. I will also have some coloring pages over the next few Mondays. If you enjoy my posts here please consider becoming a follower so I can see your lovely face in my subscriber bar. That makes me smile.

I would like to leave you with a message I believe the Lord has given to me especially for you:

You are beautiful and you are loved.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa
