Advent - Day 14

Hello Friends,

Staci did the Advent devotional at His Kingdom Come today. The selected song was "Little Drummer Boy" performed beautifully by Pentatonix.

The story goes that the little drummer boy was poor and had no gift to bring the new baby king, but he did not stay away. He came with what he had - his little drum. Staci did a wonderful job of dramatizing the story, suggesting that he probably could not play well. After all, he was just a boy.

How many times have I not offered what I had because I thought it was not good enough or not as good as what others seemed to have? Ephesians 2:10 says that God created good works just for me to do, before I was even born, and he wants me to walk in them. Good works. Good. Not less than or more than anyone else's works. Just good.

I want to spend the rest of my life walking in those good works. I don't want to miss a thing. Even if some of my gifts don't look as nice as someone else's, they are still mine and they are still good. Let me be like the little drummer boy. Let me play my best for HIM, the One who is worthy of all I can give. I DO have gifts to bring. And so do you.

You are beautiful and you are loved.

I created a background Christmas paper which I stamped with '3 wise men' and glued to my page. The facing page is a card front. The only change there is that I added a tag, punched from another card, that has wrapped gifts on it.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa
