Hello Friends,
Today I have a few random faith art pages for you, plus Face #5 for the Face-Off challenge at Praise Heart Creative Community.
This first page was inspired by a song by Third Day called "Soul on Fire". The butterfly came from my adult coloring book and my background was done with Gelatos.
My next page was done during the Pentecost Sunday sermon. It is simple, not very artistic, and done with a combination of Gelatos and pens.
The sermon was about going from thinking like a slave (of God) to the joyful expectation of a child, lavishly loved by her Father.
My final faith art page is also simple, but its message is profound. I wasn't trying to draw anything in particular; just laying down colour. The dove and yellow rose suggested themselves and I didn't even noticed until just now that the rose sits within the shape of an eye.
Later on, I noticed a shy face, half-hidden at the bottom left of the page. I defined it a bit, all the while thinking of times in my life when I have felt hidden; almost invisible; insignificant. But I have never been hidden from the gaze of my loving Father. He always sees me as a shining star that lights up his eyes.
He sees you too. You are precious, beautiful and loved. There is only one you in the universe. You were created on purpose and you have a divine purpose for being on the earth at this very time. He knows you.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I leave you with this song by Stephanie Frizzell. May the revelation of God's love for you wash over you as you listen and may you be blessed.
Teresa
