Featured Follower - Edwina

Hello Friends,

It always thrills me to see the creations my followers make with my images. Edwina Brown coloured my rose so beautifully, I didn't even recognize it as one of my images. You can see details of her gorgeous double Z-fold card at her blog, Edwina's Creations.

Face #7

Hello Friends,

I am a long way from 100, but here is my Face #7 for the Face-off challenge at Praise Heart Creative Community.
I drew and colored this with my Neocolor II water-soluble wax pastels. Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday's Little Blessing - Rose

Hello Friends,

Today I have a rose for you, but there is a 2nd image on my other blog - Tickell Expressions. I hope you will pop over and pick up that one as well. It's pretty cute if I do say so myself. :)

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

I left the JPEG of this image light, which should make it ideal if you want to paint it and not have the lines so prominent. To save these images, left-click to enlarge; then right-click and "save as" to your computer.

Face #6

Hello Friends,

I have taken a 100 Faces challenge at Praise Heart Creative Community. This is my 6th face for this challenge. I'm not crazy about it; in fact, I find it rather ugly; but the challenge is not about making 100 really good faces. I guess I should expect that some will not be very good as I journey into getting better at drawing faces.
Thanks for dropping by.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

Random Pages and Face #5

Hello Friends,

Today I have a few random faith art pages for you, plus Face #5 for the Face-Off challenge at Praise Heart Creative Community.

This first page was inspired by a song by Third Day called "Soul on Fire". The butterfly came from my adult coloring book and my background was done with Gelatos.

My next page was done during the Pentecost Sunday sermon. It is simple, not very artistic, and done with a combination of Gelatos and pens.
The sermon was about going from thinking like a slave (of God) to the joyful expectation of a child, lavishly loved by her Father.
My final faith art page is also simple, but its message is profound. I wasn't trying to draw anything in particular; just laying down colour. The dove and yellow rose suggested themselves and I didn't even noticed until just now that the rose sits within the shape of an eye.

Later on, I noticed a shy face, half-hidden at the bottom left of the page. I defined it a bit, all the while thinking of times in my life when I have felt hidden; almost invisible; insignificant. But I have never been hidden from the gaze of my loving Father. He always sees me as a shining star that lights up his eyes.

He sees you too. You are precious, beautiful and loved. There is only one you in the universe. You were created on purpose and you have a divine purpose for being on the earth at this very time. He knows you.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I leave you with this song by Stephanie Frizzell. May the revelation of God's love for you wash over you as you listen and may you be blessed.

Mystery Flagger

Hello Friends,

If you believe in the supernatural you will have no problem with this post.

Lately people have been seeing a mystery flagger at our church, waving flags and dancing along with our other worship flaggers and dancers. She is always described the same - a lady with flowing sleeves (like wings) and a bun in her hair - yet not everyone sees her at the same time or in the same place.

The reason we know about her is because the ones who have seen her have asked others, "Who is that lady? She is really good at flagging/dancing." The first time she was spotted, there were six people flagging, but a few people saw a 7th flagger. Others, including the other flaggers, did not see her at all. She has been seen several times since and is always described the same way. I have not seen her myself, but decided to do a little painting of her in my art journal.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you were inspired or even made a little curious.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

100 Faces - #4

Hello Friends,

I have been doing a 100 Faces challenge over at Praise Heart Creative Community and this is Face #4. That is, if it counts. I used a stencil for the basic outline of this face, minus the hair.

This is also a page I did for my Take Me Deeper group at His Kingdom Come. I was attempting to make the girl's hair look like feathers.
Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your visit.

Blessing hugs,

100 Faces - #3

Hello friends,

A while ago I joined a 100 Faces challenge at Praise Heart Creative Community. I used a Jane Davenport stencil for the outline of this face so I hope it still counts. This is a mixed media painting in one of my art journals.
Here is the song which inspired it:
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you have been inspired.

Sunday's Little Blessing - Fancy Turtle

Hello Friends,

Yes, you heard it right. Sunday's Little Blessing is back. I still have to catch up on some requested digis, but this week I have a fancy little turtle for you. There are two versions - a doodled shell and a plain, segmented shell that you can doodle yourself or just leave plain. The PNG versions have been digitally traced, but the JPEGs are the original drawings without any enhancement. I like both.

Enjoy your Sunday!

hugs,
Teresa
